We've helped a number of fintech startups. In one project, for example, we augmented an approach in quantitative analysis and statistical modelling with machine learning to improve the overall performance of stock market portfolios.
We also work with the other popular buzzword technology: blockchain. We're designing and developing systems that leverage immutable distributed ledgers in novel ways that benefit both the business and charity sectors.
ABOUT US
Dr Peter Blain - Founder
Dr Peter Blain graduated from the University of Queensland with a degree in computer systems engineering. He went on to complete a Masters degree in accounting, and later completed a PhD in artificial intelligence.
Peter worked for over a decade as a freelance technical lead and software engineer in the financial services sector. He designed and developed high profile technology solutions for organisations including the Commonwealth Bank, the National Australia Bank, Westpac, the Bank of Tokyo Mitsubishi and HSBC. During his time as a freelancer, Peter worked in the UK, Germany and Australia.
In 2008 Peter moved to Tasmania where he managed and led federally funded e-research projects hosted at the University of Tasmania. These e-research projects focused on big data analytics and cloud computing.
In 2017 Peter founded InvestAI, and has been helping fintech businesses leverage the latest techniques in machine learning and cloud computing (e.g. AWS SageMaker).
